I’m Lucy, a Family Photographer based in Southampton, Hampshire

I’m Lucy—a mum, a wife, and an unapologetic chocoholic!  I’m super chatty, easygoing, and in my absolute element when I’m behind the camera, capturing life’s most precious moments.

Motherhood has been my greatest adventure—challenging at times, but filled with an indescribable love that makes every moment worth it. Watching my own daughter grow up so quickly has made me truly appreciate how fleeting these little moments are. The giggles, the cuddles, the tiny hands in yours… they all pass by in the blink of an eye.

That’s why I do what I do. My goal is to create beautiful, natural images that freeze these heartfelt moments in time—full of love, connection, and emotion—so you can treasure them forever. Let’s capture your family’s story together

about me

LOVE TO EAT:

Whether it’s eating out or cooking at home, I love my food! Italian cuisine, Thai, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Caribbean you name it! Chocolate is my love language.

IF I WASN´T A PHOTOGRAPHER..

I’d probably do something else creative like graphic design, which I have an A level & Foundation Diploma in and I have dabbled in design in the past. I’m not very academically minded but creativity has always been my strength.

MY FAV MUSIC

I have always loved music from a young age and my taste is very eclectic. A bit of RnB & dancehall reggae get my hips moving, but I like most genres. Some of my favourite artists are Sean Paul, FUSE ODG, Usher, Chris Brown, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Kygo, Becky Hil & Calvin Harris.

THINGS I HATE:

I know this is criminal but I absolutely hate baked beans and cringe even if I even get the bean juice on my finger when putting my husband or daughter’s plates in the dishwasher!

I also hate condiments like ketchup & mayo, it makes me feel sick even just thining about them. Sparkling water is also gross.

I’m not a morning person so don’t enjoy getting up early, I can’t stand liars and I hate confrontation.

My family and my friends. I’m so lucky to have them and I cherish every moment that we share—whether it’s celebrating life’s big milestones or simply enjoying the little everyday moments together, eating

I want your family photography session to feel relaxed, fun, and completely stress-free. From the first enquiry to the final gallery delivery, I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way. Here’s what you can expect when you book a session with me.

1. Get in Touch

It all starts with a quick message! Whether you fill out my contact form, drop me an email, or send a DM on social media, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. We’ll chat about your family, the kind of session you’re looking for, and any ideas you have in mind. Not sure what you want? No problem—I can help you choose the perfect location and style to suit your family.

2. Choosing a Date & Location

Once we’ve had a little chat, we’ll find a date that works for you. I offer outdoor sessions at beautiful natural locations, in-home lifestyle sessions for a cozy feel, or even fun-filled beach or woodland shoots. If you have a special place in mind, I’d love to hear about it!

3. Preparing for Your Session

After booking, I’ll send over a session guide packed with tips on what to wear, how to prepare the kids, and what to expect on the day. My sessions are all about capturing natural connections, so there’s no need to worry about posing—I’ll encourage play, cuddles, and lots of giggles to create authentic, heartfelt images.

4. The Shoot – Fun, Natural & Relaxed

On the day of your session, I’ll guide you with gentle direction while letting your family be yourselves. We’ll capture a mix of candid moments and naturally posed shots, creating a gallery filled with love, laughter, and personality. My goal is for you to walk away feeling like you’ve just had a really lovely time together, rather than a formal photoshoot.

5. Your Beautiful Photos

After your session, I’ll carefully edit your images in my signature style. Within 8 weeks, you’ll receive your full online gallery where you can view and download your photos. You’ll also have the option to order stunning prints & albums directly through your gallery for you to treasure forever.

6. Cherishing Your Memories

Your family photos aren’t just for today—they’re little time capsules of love, laughter, and togetherness. Whether they’re framed on your walls, printed in an album, or shared with loved ones, they’ll become a treasured part of your family’s story.

WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AND WHAT WONDERFUL PHOTOS. MYSELF AND MY FAMILY HAVE NEVER HAD A PHOTOSHOOT BEFORE SO WE WERE A LITTLE NERVOUS. HOWEVER, LUCY MADE US FEEL COMPLETELY COMFORTABLE AND AT EASE AND MADE IT FUN FOR OUR YOUNG GIRLS. SHE REALLY ENGAGED WITH US ALL AND TOOK THE MOST STUNNING PICTURES (WE ARE SO IN LOVE WITH THEM). THANK YOU LUCY AND WE WILL 1000% BE BOOKING IN WITH YOU AGAIN SOON.

LUCY TOOK SOME FAMILY PICTURES FOR US WITH OUR 2 YEAR OLD AND 3 MONTH OLD AND WE ARE SO PLEASED WITH THE PHOTOS. ON THE DAY SHE WAS BRILLIANT, THE WHOLE FAMILY WARMED TO HER INSTANTLY, WE FELT COMFORTABLE AND SHE MADE IT FUN. SHE ALSO PLAYED WITH OUR LITTLE GIRL TO HELP KEEP HER ENGAGED AND GOT SOME BEAUTIFUL PICTURES OF HER. THERE WAS A QUICK TURNAROUND FROM THE SHOOT TO THE PICTURES BEING READY AND THEY WERE EASILY ACCESSIBLE. THERE ARE SO MANY WONDERFUL SHOTS FOR US TO CHOOSE FROM AND WE COULDN’T BE HAPPIER!

COULDN’T RECOMMEND LUCY ENOUGH. SHE WAS PROFESSIONAL THROUGHOUT AND PUT US ALL AT EASE DURING THE PHOTO SHOOT. OUR 3 AND 4 YEAR OLD BOYS WERE ON THE GO ALL THE TIME BUT LUCY WAS SO PATIENT WITH THEM AND HAD SO MANY CREATIVE IDEAS AND WAYS TO MAKE THEM SMILE FOR THE PHOTOS. THE PHOTOS WERE WONDERFUL AND MEANT EVEN MORE TO US AS MY HUSBAND'S OLDER CHILDREN WERE IN THEM AND WITH THE COVID LOCKDOWNS WE WERE BARELY ABLE TO SEE THEM DURING 2020 & 2021. THE PHOTOS WERE NATURAL AND EVERYONE HAD SO MUCH FUN DURING THE PHOTO SHOOT. I PICKED OUT SOME OF THE PHOTOS AND LUCY PRESENTED THEM TO US IN A BEAUTIFUL ALBUM, THE PERFECT BIRTHDAY GIFT. FAMILY IS SO IMPORTANT AND WE CAN’T THANK LUCY ENOUGH FOR PROVIDING US WITH SUCH A WONDERFUL KEEPSAKE.

WE HAD LUCY TAKE SOME FAMILY/NEWBORN PHOTOS WITH THE FIVE OF US. IT’S NOT ALWAYS EASY TO GET PICTURES OF A 3 YEAR OLD, 2 YEAR OLD AND A NEW BORN BUT LUCY SOMEHOW MANAGED TO PULL IT OFF. I USUALLY HATE HAVING MY PHOTO TAKEN BUT LUCY MADE US ALL FEEL SO RELAXED AND THE PHOTOS TURNED OUT TO BE PERFECT! THEY ALL LOOK SO NATURAL AND YOU WOULDN’T KNOW THAT THEY WERE IN OUR HOME AS THE FINAL IMAGES LOOK SO PROFESSIONAL AND WELL PUT TOGETHER. WE GOT THEM BACK REALLY QUICKLY TOO. I COULDN’T RECOMMEND HER ENOUGH! WILL DEFINITELY BE BOOKING AGAIN. THANK YOU LUCY!
